NuFunk Highland
Farm
In
addition to his many artistic endeavors, Steven has a life
long interest in raising animals, perennial flowers,
vegetable gardening, and landscape design. Having been
raised in a rural farming environment, he learned early on
of the connection between man and Mother Earth,
as all of creation as One.
This commitment and appreciation for all things living;
awareness of our environment, our sources for food, and
preservation of wild places has greatly impacted his life
and teachings.
Throughout his college years, in his study of art and
design, Steven was able to transmute his talents into
beautiful perennial gardens for select friends and clients.
He has left his unique approach to gardening on many urban
and rural landscapes, turning each space into havens
of contemplation and relaxation.
Steven's talents as a farmer, landscaper, and artist have
resulted in many requests to share his wisdom and experience
with others.
He speaks loudly that we must all return to the earth, to
create a sense of balance in our lives no matter where we
call home. As a means of his own self-expression, art in
living things, Steven and his partner Steve maintain a small farm.
Together with the help of family, they grow much of their
own food and apply the principles of sustainability and
other natural practices to bring forth abundance on
NuFunk Highland Farm.
“This we know…
the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth.
All things are connected, like blood, which connects one
family.
Whatever befalls the earth befalls the children of earth.
Man did not weave the web of life – he is merely a strand in
it.
Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.”

Perhaps the best way to share the splendor
that is NuFunk Highland Farm (aside from a personal visit)
is through photographs. Please share the experience of
the seasons and the animals.
