Steven has a story to tell. Moreover his story speaks of healing; his healing and the healing of others. From despair to triumph, from soul to soul, he speaks to the heart of everyone’s experience.

Through the process of acceptance, forgiveness, and self-love, he has grown to see Oneness in all of life, and his calling from Divine Grace is to assist others on that journey of self-discovery and awareness; to claim our authentic self.

At the age of thirty, in the depth of pain from a childhood of abuse, his own self-destruction, and addiction to drugs and alcohol he heard the voice of the Holy Spirit. He received a message of hope and salvation. He had a choice as we all do to continue on the dark path of misery and isolation, or to seek the Light of Love and be reborn into his true self. He chose the Light of Love not knowing what it meant, but in doing so was granted the energy of spirit to know healing within himself and the ability to assist others through teaching, healing and Divine guidance. It did not happen overnight for the road to healing is life long.

He reluctantly followed his calling not really knowing what he was stepping into. In order to do so he had to overcome a life of obstacles. He sought to find his authentic self, the true self lying underneath all the years of his kept pain. He had to relearn everything he knew of life. This time around he was to unlearn the agreements he had accepted as truth from his ego, his parents, his relations,  peers, religion, society, school, television, really the world.

After gaining sobriety he enrolled in college to finish a degree that he started some twelve years previous. At that time, art became his vehicle of healing. He started to express the pain of his life through found object sculpture. Through  creative means he began to speak of his journey to others. He soon realized that as he was speaking his truth to the audience he was healing through the stories of his life. He was setting free the doubt, pain and fear that had kept him a prisoner of shame and guilt.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Fines Arts Degree from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point in 1997.

After college, many who grew to love him, guided him in his life and supported his choice to take many risks. He continually raised his vibration through the actions of positive thought, thoughts of self-love, and forgiveness. His world began to change. Not really knowing his purpose he continued to be guided by the voice from within.  He continued his soul search for the truth. He challenged all obstacles of fear for he began to see them as a mere illusion. He realized that the ego mind possessed no power over him. He began to overcome his negative thoughts, and the mind of worry, fear and doubt diminished.

He began to see his whole life as a blessing, as all past experiences good and he began to heal in forgiveness and love.

As he began to realize his true journey of healing he was told that he would not work alone for his learning was great. During a workshop he saw a young man sitting across the room and the Voice of Spirit said to him that they would work together as one, for we are all One. Soon enough the young man received the same message and their journey of teaching, learning, and healing as One began.

Today Steven shares an office suite and business, Surya Wellness Center with Dean Liska. They are a work in progress, Steven having opened an office in September 2005 and Dean joining him in September 2007. They are now setting the foundation of teaching and learning to mentor others in the process of healing and guidance for the teacher and the student are One.
